Why Art?

The reason I make art is not all that complicated, I've always enjoyed art and the production of it, but I am not a particularly good artist on paper, and was told I would never be able to succeed in art. Although being shut down throughout my childhood I never really gave up making art. I continue to make art because I enjoy doing it, and I hope to keep improving my skills so that one day, I may be able to turn art into more than a hobby.

I designed two t-shirts both politically charged for the current conflict in Hong Kong. I have a strong interest in the problems of mainland China, particularly the idea of censorship and oppression of the people. I was already designing a piece based around the Tienanmen square massacre when tanks and armored vehicles rolled through Hong Kong's streets. This turn of events lead me to focus my project on Hong Kong and its struggles.
